told ya, PPV is the way forward. With your fancy computer gadgets you should be able to work out on average how many people post on here, and then set up a minimum PPV amount to continue posting.

You will then see, who the real dedicated followers of this forum are.

I'll happily give £5 or £10 per annum, if other people do likewise

chunky_monkey has a point. Like many others I have surported the forum and am considering doing it again. However, much more transparency, if possible is needed. It is unusual, is it not, to be even paying at all. As c_m suggests could we not assertain how many regulars are willing to pay and then see if we can contribute equally?

In looking at the members list I count 30 regulars who are already forum supporters and 16 regulars who are not. Two of the forum supporters are probably not up for it again, for example, Dorito Brother. Where is he I miss his posts.

If all others can be persuaded to contribute then with £4 each we reach our target. Even assuming that the 16 regular forum posters but not supporters have a congenital abhorrence to paying to post the remaining 30 of us could keep the site going with a contribution of £5.75. What are your thoughts?

Dorito has a new job and a daughter now so doesn't get on here much.

If 30 people paid the amount needed then life would be very easy!

i agree, £5.75 is eff all over a year, i am sure everyone on here can afford just 11p a week, shame we have 16 regulars who can't be arsed to just throw a couple of quid in

How do i donate my £5.75?.

As you will all see from the message at the top of the forum, we only have half the money for next years subscription. The last day for this forum will be on the 15th January if we do not raise enough to cover the full year.

I agree with you, and have willingly contributed in the past, and, am prepared to do so again. However, I feel resentful that certain individuals feel that they can scrounge of others, especially when those freeloaders are often rude, or, condescending to those of us who do pay our way.

I don't want to make the forum a paid for access only site but it is something I can do.
