We owe them for last year, and, a win would take us closer to the Holy Grail of the Champions League competition. I am finding these games more, and, more difficult to call, so, heart will make the call. Arsenal to win.

Interesting one and hope for win , another game for the players to get used to the new formation .
Ox to continue his good form and give us something to play for against Stoke.
“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”

Like against Manu much better second half, thought Ramsey had one of his better games and hopefully coming back to form.
Beat Stoke on Saturday and see how it effects Liverpool .
Top four still just alive, which could be important for attracting players if we decide to spend this year.

Is it really that important especially with the amount of money floating around the premier league?
United managed to get Zlatan and Pogba, isn't ambition and the willingness to make the transfer happen more important?

Anyway top 4 means 2 more years of Wenger so a moot point anyway as his ambition went out the windows years ago.

Agree Nick but sometimes it is a factor especially when we wont do the pogba money moves.
Wenger issue just clouds everything and should go.

How would you define 'ambition', Nick ?

Building a squad that is capable of challenging in the league and champions league past March would be a start. We haven't done that for years. Certainly don't expect to win it every year but to actually challenge isn't too much to ask given our resources.

This is where I think there's a bit of confusion. Wenger HAS built a squad he THINKS can challenge for the title. He's spent a fair amount on signings, brought in experience as well as young prospects and used scouting to bring in less popular but talented mid-priced players. Wenger would say he's shown big ambition. THE PROBLEM is that he's being proved wrong in his decision making. Ambition isn't the issue at Arsenal imo. When people use examples like United signing Zlatan as ones of ambition then it's crazy. Signings like that are stupid, not ambitious.

If Wenger seriously thinks his squads are capable of challenging in the league and champs league then he is completely deluded. This was the manager who put Sonogo out as the main striker against Bayern.

The club's sole ambition is top 4 and that is it, as you will witness by the player dancing around on the pitch and taking selfies should we make it against Everton.

Your first two points don't really compliment each other. And I have to disagree with you on your first sentence. Man-for-man, I think we're better than Spurs, City and Liverpool. I think United and Chelsea are the only clubs slightly ahead of us in terms of first 11 quality and squad strength, it's just that our players aren't performing and he's not getting them to perform. This is the basis of my argument for him to leave.

I have been saying that for years. The players are good enough ( could be improved on ) but they are badly coached and are tactically unaware.

It would be foolish to think otherwise
