Southampton v Arsenal the new official match day thread

Postby Tenbob » Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:16 am

Overwhelmed by the about of replies from the Bate Thread I'm encouraged to carry on.
The saints are the typical mid table side we expect to beat but are not surprised if we don't.
Will Wilshire start ,will Ozil continue his shopping window form, will we create 30 attempts on target.
Can we stop the saints marching in and continue to keep the yids where they belong.
All will be revealed tomorrow at Noon.

The Saints are always difficult at home but we should have enough firepower to overcome them if everyone does their job.

What a let down, defence all over the place ,what's happened to Kos.
Midfield just plain rubbish.
Frustrating bunch of overpaid no bollock wankers.

Ramsey and Xhaka just unbalanced they dont protect the back and don't do enough going forward . Once a team has got back we have no idea how to break them down. Just keep playing infront of them . Lacazette finding just how difficult it is to get a pass at the right time. Why can't he try Him and Giroud together when we need to get something.

We are terrible got no idea how to break a mass defence down. I`m fed up with the lot of them. The only bit of good news today is Liverpool are the same.

So it's been for the last six to eight years. Ever since the system was rumbled by Fergie and then Mourinho we have been impotent against packed deefences. We can't defend and the attack is lacking ideas but sideways passing ? World champions.

Like you say Potter Ramsey and especially Xhaka add nothing to the team.
At least Wilshire runs at the defence to try and make something happen.
On Xhaka I still think he is a waste of complete space and shouldn't be anywhere near the first team .
Carzola was the answer but sadly can't see him coming back.
