As I said before he will break his duck tomorrow against the saints, just like Bergkamp and Henry did and my son just told me just like RvP as well.

Maybe not going to get on the scoresheet then?

I hope he gets a fair few minutes to get a chance.

Didn't get much of a chance unfortunately, hopefully he breaks his duck against his old club.

I don't really get the pressure that is building on the poor chap, he's not exactly had 4 full games, and every time hes played, he has looked bright and willing to work. Goals will come, as Dorito said, hopefully Tuesday.

Wenger was probaly right taking him out so much pressure on him which is so harsh hopefully he'll follow the trend and score against his former club on Tuesday then be giving a chance to settle into the team.

the only way to score goals, is to play - leaving him out won't help

I wouldn't be surprised if he even gets a shot against Coventry in the Capital Cup if he still hasn't scored by then.

Agreed, don't see how it is positive to drop him when the knives have been out, it's more or less agreeing with the media and putting him in the spotlight more.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing with regards to Gervinho playing there but in truth he deserved to start no more than Giroud.

He reminds me of Dzeko when he joined City, he didn't look up to it at all for a few months then adjusted and did well.

Needs a goal badly, look at what its done for Podolski, he looks brilliant.

His all round play is very good and when we play long out of defence 90% of the time he wins the aerial ball. Unfortuneately we don't get anyone near enough to him to benefit. I am sure that will come once the midfield realise that they can gamble on him winning it. As for the goalscoring bit , don't worry he is part of a unit and one that's doing allright at the moment.

look this guy does not have to be a like for like replacement for the arrogant dutch hampton. what he is an option and a very good option at that. the goals this season i reckon will be spread throughout the team and not concentrated in one man which can only be a good thing. he'll get about 14 no problem

his off the ball work is very good and his presence allows other players space.
he's more in the Alan Smith role than Vanwho and this will lead to more chances for the rest of the team.
I like him and it's the exceptional start from the other two that has put him in the focus
“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”
