5 goals but crap as a lone forward. playing the ball up to his feet is like playing it up to a brick wall.

5 shots on target, how many off target? It's better than last season but his first touch still results in a goal kick and the blind alley is still his prefered destination.

On that basis he is now in my dreamteam, as Giroud could not hit a barndoor at the moment.

He's been the worst player in the team but is scoring all the goals, he's in the right place at the right time, it should be Giroud but instead Wenger will leave Gervinho in because of his stats.

Unreal situation that we find ourselves in.

Ha! Slating the guy for having the audacity to put the ball in the net. How dare he! God knows what will happen when he doesn't score.

I much prefer that he scored them than not. Lets give the lad a chance hey. Its not as if he is TRYING to have an appalling first touch is it. Lets try to encourage our new recruits rather than slating them at the first opportunity for NOT hitting the ground running straight away. Let's reserve that for Bendtner & AA23!

That is not the point of the comment, you are bending it to suit your arse licky nature.

The point is he's scoring goals and maybe our expensive centre forward would do the same if the manager gave him the minutes.

He's scoring goals and looking woeful with it, a unique gift.

Gervinho is doing a job to a certain degree, so fair play to him. But i still find him frustrating more than pleasing.
But lets not go down the line of comparing him to RVP, because lets face it, there is no comparison in that CF position.

You're right, he's not TRYING to have an appalling first touch....... it's just natural for him. You're seriously calling Gervinho a new recruit are you????

I didn't compare them. STG did ! I mearly liked his post

But as you mention it, they can be compared as they have a comparible goal tally for the season.
