He probably doesn't deserve his own thread. But how many do at the moment !

Just wondering if the nickname LB suits him - LB = Left Back and Lazy B*st*rd

I don't think he's normally as bad as he was at the weekend that has to be the worst he's ever played for us.

what he did at OT, has tarnished himself for ever, also being unfit and a shocking LB at the age of 29 doesn't help

It's that old thing about hyping players up when they're injured or haven't played for a while I guess. Won't make that mistake again!

Stuck with him starting for at least 3 weeks! This is not going to be good I'm finding it hard to have any faith that he can prove us all wrong.

Santos against Bayern gives me shudders right now.

I've got a vague (might not be correct) recollection that a certain Ashley Hole made his full debut against Bayern Munich at Highbury and played an absolute blinder.......have we got any reserves out there for when Santos gets ill (Arsene dropped you)?
me neither

Shows what Wenger thinks to play Monreal 48 hours after signing him, not like Wenger to throw a man in so quickly, hopefully this means Santos will be gone in the summer or at least kept away from our back line!

He has to. when Santos first came i liked the way he bombed forward, i know tht left him a bit lacking in the defensive department, but I liked his up and at 'em strategy. Now he doesn't do that, and he still lack the defensive quality of a left back. So I would go with verm lb and kos a bfg in the middle,

That would be the answer if Mertesacker,Vermaelen and Kosielny were up to the job but this season none of them fill me with confidence.
