BATE Borisov v Arsenal next game thread

Back to the Europa cup and on paper we should go through.
Chance to get back into playing with more confidence and style which we have lacked lately.
Usual rules apply keep a clean sheet and try to take a lead back to the Emirates.
Most of the youngsters out on loan and no weekend game should see us put a decent side out.
“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”

So bad it was laughable ,Xhaka,Mika what's the point!
Add in the worse wing backs imaginable, how the hell are we going to create anything.
Hleb bless him would of got into the team at 37.
Laughable absolutely laughable.

If you didn`t laugh you would cry. Why did we persevere with trying to threads balls through a massed defence it was ludicrous. I have always said that we must give Emery the season to get his ideas across but with over half the season gone we have not improved but have gone backward.

Just a smidgin of a contradiction there, RR :D . I'm not so sure we've gone backwards either, although it was difficult to see a solid game plan across that 90 minutes. The pitch should be taken into account, as should the ridiculously short amount of time along with the lack of freedom to make the changes required across the squad hitherto, before going anywhere near calling for the sacking of Emery. Provided we're top 5 this season and looking good for top four next season, he has to be given four windows before the axe falls. I can't believe people are bringing this subject up already.

I think we'll win the 2nd leg comfortably.

The pitch was poor but these are highly trained professional athletes earning God knows how much a week so surely a crap pitch wouldn`t make them look like a bunch of Hackney Marshes players. You say louder that you will be satisfied with finishing 5th this season so would I but I have my eye on 4th as we are only one point behind United. I`m hoping the Solskjaer effect is wearing off and we have two winnable Home matches coming up.
As for the 2nd leg I also think we will squeeze through but whether it will be comfortable I have my doubts.

Too early to call for Emery's head although someone needs to sort the Ozil clash of heads sooner rather than later. I am not his biggest fan but withoiut him we are totally disjointed up front.
Emery has to find a solution if he wants to get out of trouble . If he can't get some way to cover the defensive work then find a system that does.

It would be foolish to think otherwise
