Well we won which is the main thing but we were very lethargic especially in the first half. Woke up a bit in the second half but we must improve. Luckily only Liverpool and Spurs to come next.

You can see something happening with this bunch once they get to know each other better.
Onions was brilliant in midfield and looked a class apart and Pepe showed glimpses of magic when he come on.
Struggled with the arial onslaught from Burnley and wish we had a more commanding keeper that could come and collect rather than flapping and causing more confusion.
Thought Willock had a solid game and could become a really smart player for us.

Liverpool v Arsenal Saturday 24th August 17.30 KO
Liverpool are one of the top Clubs in the world with a worldwide fan base.
Founded 1892 they have won 18 league titles, 6 European Cups, 3 Uefa Cups, 7 FA Cups and 8 League Cups.
Their colours are Red Shirts and Red Shorts which is probably why their official nickname is "Reds"
Their famous Ground is Anfield where they have played since they were formed. Capacity is 54k
This season is their 58th consecutive in the top flight. (It`s Arsenal`s (100th)
Ist meeting of the two Clubs was the 28th October 1893 Woolwich Arsenal 0 V Liverpool 5
I can`t find Arsenal`s Away record against Liverpool but overall Liverpool have won 87 Arsenal 78 and 61 Draws.
Liverpool`s owners are Fenway Sports who appear to be decent owners. Their Manager is Jurgan Klopp
The scousers anthem is You`ll Never Walk Alone" which is one of the best in football
Liverpool are, according to Wiki, the 8th most valuable Club in the world.
Lioverpool have been involved in two of the worst disasters in football where at the European Cup Final in 1985 at the Heysez Stadium Liverpool hoodlums charged Juve fans which resulted in the death of 39 mainly Italian fans. The second was in 1989 when 96 fans died in a FA Cup match at Hillsborough.
Liverpool were involved in what was probably the most amazing game in 1989 when Arsenal needed to win by two clear goals at Liverpool to become Champions or Liverpool would be Champions. The Gunners were leading 1-0 with 1 minute of injury time to go
when goalie Lukic rolled the ball out to Lee Dixon who hit a twenty yard pass down the line to Alan Smith who slipped it inside to Michael Thomas who burst between two Liverpool players and calmly put the ball away. Greatest moment of my life.

Could be a goal fest as they look a bit ropey at the back and they are bound to score a couple against us.
Hope Onions keeps his place and Pepe starts.
Looking forward to this one and fancy us to get all three points.

Mindset will be key today. We will need to fight to the bitter end, tails up and enjoying the competitive football. The unquenchable tingle of positivity and hope inside me says this team can do that. They have wrongs to right. Unai is my only concern. COYG.

Tactics all wrong.
Why bench Lacazette, narrowing the front line and allowing their two fullbacks to rampage in the first half. Keeping two wide in a 433 would have restrained their full backs

Embarrassing to say the least. The score line doesn`t seem too bad away to the 2nd best team in the Prem but our performance was diabolical especially in the 1st half. After Liverpool went three up I think they felt sorry for us and took their foot off the gas. Lucky it`s only Spurs next week.

Well my concern about Emery has proved correct. Agree Thynker, wrong tactics / personnel.

Complicates to deceive with joyless approach. Someone needs to have a chat with him.

Should of matched them like for like but the class gap was there to see.
Luiz had a nightmare,Neithland Miles needs to up his game or he will be just another false hope.
And What's the managers love of Xhaka all about, not only picking him but making him captain as well.
As said manager got it wrong.

Pepe had the beating Van Dyke but without Lacazette there was no focal point . Auba for all his merits does not lead the line and cannot hold the ball up , it's all get through on goal or lose possesion.
I agree with all the comments about Xhaka , he has been a great disappointment since he arrived the game seems to go on all around him and when he does get involved it always seems to be just a little too quick for him.
Choices at the back , will Holding get up to speed , is Luiz likely to make fewer mistakes than Mustafi , should Chambers be playing instead of both of them . Should Luiz be playerd as a defensive midfielder in Xhakas place .
More questions than answers.

Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium Sunday 1st September 2019 KO 1630
The Club is owned by Enic Group and was founded in 1882. Their official nickname is The Lilywhites but they are mainly known as Spurs. The Clubs colours are White Shirts and Blue Shorts.
The Clubs Manager is Maurico Pochettino who is from Argentina
Home Ground is Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which has a capacity of 62k
Honours: Old 1st Division 2 Titles. Old 2nd Division 2 Titles. FA Cup 8 wins. Uefa Cup Winners Cup 1. Uefa Cup 2
Ever since Arsenal moved to Highbury from Plumstead there has been a deadly rivalry between the two Clubs and their supporters. However, since both Clubs now have many foreign players making up the teams who do not fully understand the rivalry they more or less treat the fixture as just another game. The same cannot be said of the fans who detest each other although the days of huge fights are over.
Record of games: Played 164 Won 66 Drew 46 Lost 52 Goals For 255 Against 223

Looking forward to the traditional 5-2 win. The worrying thing is VAR may feel they owe them a penalty after last Saturday but perhaps that was to make up for the ridiculous hand ball decision the week before that went their way.

Hope we can edge this game. Bit concerned by VAR, there’s bound to be incidents in this game.
Hope it goes our way and that the diving, cheating antics typically deployed by spuds are detected and punished. That said, our lot need to keep arms out of harms way and leave the shirt pulling to the fairies. #COYG

Just win this one, don't care how but just win.
Love to see the three up front start for the first time and put some fear into the Yids minds.
Rather go for it and win 5-4 but happy for a boring 1-0 nil win.
They are not in form so should no excuses.

Very disappointing especially with all the possession we had. I thought Pepe looked good but my MOM was Guendouzi

Just watch Luiz for Eriksen's goal...

It really encapsulates his diabolical defending.
He really was a poor buy. I'd rather have kept Monreal.

Xhaka is the main culprit absolutely diabolical. Why Arsene then Unai fancy him I can`t fathom.

Xhaka is awful. Id have Torreria and Guendouzi sitting with Ceballos in front as a 4231
