Sky Sports have just reported that Arteta and a couple of his representatives have had a two and a half hour meeting this morning with the Arsenal Board.

It will be a gamble, but then in my life time we've always taken a gamble on appointing a new manager.

Yes we have and sometimes it pays off. Bertie Mee (although coupled with Don Howe) worked, Billy wright didn't. GG came from the 3rd division and was successful, Bruce Rioch was established in the top flight but lost the dressing room. AW was an unknown quantity which paid off, Dick was an established European winner that didn't. All we can really do is support whoever comes in and, I hate to put this, hope for the best.

Got to give him time and our full support.
Might be the best thing for the club as it will be fresh new outlook and a long term project that could reap rewards in the end.
It's all about it we can be patient and not demand instant success but also see progress to keep the faith.

Midfielder coming back to manage team ? Hope he is as successful as George Graham was.
