Cesc is bordering on world class as is Ozil, our players Cazorla , Wilshere , Ramsey ,are just about international class .The others are below that. If you want to win you go for the best you can and form them into a complete team.

I agree with you on Ozil. But Cazorla, Wilshere and Ramsay, add to that Gibbs (The best LB in the country imo) Ox, Walcott and Kos, as well as a few others, are ABSOLUTELY International class players. Maybe it's just the way you word your posts that makes you come across as very negative.

Gibbs is certainly improving each season. I just hope injuries are behind him now.

It's a guarantee that he'll get injured at some stage as all players do, but it appears that his recent knocks have been overcome in a reasonably short time.

Perhaps my definition of world /international class is more demanding.

It would be foolish to think otherwise

Only when it comes to bestowing it on an Arsenal player. I'd love for you to put your definition of 'International class' into words though. :D

Putting a list out inevitably will omit people but in the past you would say world class would include the Pele's , Maradona , Cruyff, Zidane type player , currently Ronaldo ,Messi. cut it . International class :- past players , Van Basten , Bergkamp , Roaldinho, old Ronaldo , currently Pirlo, Iniesta.Fabregas, that's where I put my standards . Players like Sanchez , Lahm , Aguero follow up and then the whole group of current international players come in behind them as being close. In my opinion players are hyped beyond their abilities , we all have our favourites but I try to stay objective about their standards and obviously the dividing lines can get blurred but in general world class players are few and far between.

Oh right. I agree with your take on World class. I cannot have Cesc in the same class as Iniesta or Pirlo, but if it serves to support a current point of view then so be it.

The logistics of getting one of our others out in order to get him back in would've been complicated and, after already having walked out on us not too long ago, too complicated for the Manager to feel worthwhile. Cesc is a blue ! Now that's 'end of'.

Lahm is world class IMO. One of the best RBs ever turned into one of the best Midfielders ever...and a winner of the tops trophies makes the difference for me as well.

Most certainly he is a Chelsea player
but really :- changes in the squad would have been difficult ?

Premier League clubs have to register a first-team squad of no more than 25 players, of which a maximum of 17 can be non-homegrown. In addition, all clubs are allowed to use as many U21 players as they wish. For the 2014-2015 season, this means any player born on or after 1 January 1993.
A homegrown player is someone who has been registered to an English (or Welsh) club for a combined period of three seasons (36 months) prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21). As I see it
We registered 28 players of which 5 are under 21 , this means we have space for 2 more players as Cesc qualifies as a home grown player so it should not have been that difficult.

Thank you P.

I think Louder is just trying to convince himself that Le Dinosaur made the correct decision.
