When I saw Khrushchev and Bulgarin driving in their Zastava 1.0 litres , I knew that socialism was not going to work.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth."

It would be foolish to think otherwise

I'm still for AW. I think it is just as likely that it is the board and rest of the management team who are scuppering any real attempts to buy players (over many years). None of the board have earned my trust in anything they have done. AW did many years ago. No-one other than them actually knows the real truth here.

I could be wrong of course - but I choose to believe that AW isn't the main problem as there is no real evidence - its just supposition and I'll stick with the man who gave us glory (albeit a long time ago now) over those who have given us nothing - ever.

I would also add that even if a few people got their way and he was removed today - who could we get in to replace him at short notice? I tend to think that we'd be in a worse state for this season if he went now.

I'm not having a go at anyone who holds a different opinion to me - in the same way that I won't hold it against you if my opinion makes you angry - thats your choice.

Fair enough, thanks for posting sensible & rational points. I think most of us have concerns about who the board would appoint when the time eventually comes. If he ever writes a book it will make very interesting reading that's for sure.

I agree about the socialist wage policy it looks like it was born out of some footballing nirvana in the hope other teams would also adopt it. Instead they said 'naah' and went of and won things.

Only the minority went off and won things. I think we pay excellent wages when you look across the board, but if you only compare us to the billionnaire clubs then

I assume you don't just mean 1st team players but reserve team players in the bit that I highlighted?

DS was talking about clubs rather than players I think. I don't what your post is about.

Bottom line is that Wenger has failed to deliver since we went to Emirates.

We all live in a world of meeting targets and clearly his have all been financial and not football!

We have all been conned for many years now and forgiving in the light of promises. All of which have been unfulfilled. The quality of the squad has reduced year on year along with

Also letting Gazidas get involved in running the Club will go down in history as the one who orchestrated the demise of this great Club unless the direction and ambition changes course. Sadly, Wenger seems to have bought into this and is either gutless in front of the Board; happy to meet the non-football targets; ignore any footballing ambition; and fatten up his pension!

The solutions are so obvious that it must be deliberate!

In spite off the brilliant and much needed win yesterday. I think he needs to step up and proove he is the man the lead us forward. So still firmly against...

At the end of the day theres not consistency in this team, (loosing 3-1 to Villa at home, then beating Fener 3 - 0 away) and I suspect that the Fen players are VERY aware there likely to get chucked out of the CL even if they win anyway.

Still against and depending on the outcome of players to come in I won't change my mind until he proves that he has changed his ways.

Oh well CL qualification again = Wenger new contract

more of the same I suppose. A good enough team to challenge for the top 4, not good enough to challenge for any trophies

His new contract has been available to sign for a few months now. I wonder why he hasn't signed it.........

One Match LOST and here we go again "OFF WITH HIS HEAD IS THE CRY" and he is'nt even in the Tower yet.

Is this a game or is it MONEY that lasts 90 minutes with a referee from.........yes you can guess!!!!!! He came from MANCHESTER and boy did he drop some BLOOMERS.

Yes we have a problem and who is the best person to get us out of this problem?

Non other than ARSENE WENGER

Come on now, you know it makes sence.

I'm lost for words. you really are a complete WUM. Good day sir.

It would be nice if we could keep this friendly - people like Island Boy have every right to express an opinion - its an opinion that isn't completely out of step with large numbers of fans - especially those who come from a generation who have seen more than most. I think sometimes experience offers some insight and yes he might be wrong - but he might be right as well and in either way would you speak to a man like this in the street? I don't know him personally but IIRC he is one of our more experienced long suffering fans.

I quite like that after all that - he can maintain a positive outlook - good for him. In any case he was quite good humoured about it - and we could do with some humour this week.

Many thanks to "I believe overall" for his kind comments. Yes I do believe in being positive when all around us is pure NEGATIVITY, having broken my humerous and recovered, had Oesophageal cancer operation, cured, Prostate cancer operation, cured. All in the past three years I think I am entirely right to be nothing but positive for the future. Owners come and managers GO but at the end of the day there is only one team that I support and that is the GUNNERS and long may it be so.

THIS THREAD REALLY SHOULD NOT BE ON HERE.

Dodgyrog is my name and Islandboy is where my location is.

There are reports suggesting that Wenger doesn't want Wilshere to play in both of the upcoming England games.

so why is he persisting in wanting to play Wilshere tonight? DOUBLE STANDARDS
