David Luiz

When I read that we were after Luiz who apparently went on strike so he could come to the Emirates I was quite excited as I always reckoned him as a player. Martin Keown in the Mail today said the Club would be making a mistake signing him as he is too cavalier as a Central Defender. However, I doubt if he would cost too much in transfer fees so we could probably afford his wages. I think Luiz and Sokratis would make a decent pairing for the forthcoming season before being replaced by up and coming young players like Holding.

Once Holding is fit and ready Luiz can move forward to help Torriera

Just what we need and the boss knows him well.

Has turned out to be a disaster.
Lot of the experts blaming him for our form and should be dropped.

I think given the issue with the Unai 'The Tinkerer' Emery, he's the least of our problems rn

I would stick him in midfield as the holding player,God knows where he would go though.
Properly end up on the wing.

I was optimistic when he started in front of the back four tonight, but after a bit of bad luck Emery's side fell apart once he went off. No decent manager can let things go so wrong with just one enforced change.

Until he got hurt I thought it was working but I wonder just how much his heart was in it . We will see at Norwich whether he features .

I simply can't understand why he is considered an asset.

I certainly would not be offering him a new contract.

He may be experienced but what can he teach a young defender about the art?

Wenger out!!
