Great chance of going through to next round as we face a bang average middle of the table French side.
Could put it to bed straight away by winning this leg easily but the main thing is not to concede and give ourselves an easy home leg.
We have a realistic chance of going all the way in this with that little bit of luck needed along the way.

“ Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! ”

Do we play our strongest team bearing in mind we have United on Sunday?

Yes. Get it sorted in 1st leg.
Lacazette will be fresh for Sunday.
Torreira won't play on Sunday.

Given United's form, the Europa league may be best chance of securing CL spot next year

Wenger out!!

What an abysmal performance.

United's heroics last night particularly show how bad we are.

And what is the manager at? Leaves Ozil on when down to ten? He doesn't work when we have 11!
Starting Mustafi at right back and then putting Mkhitarayan there? The whole thing is just shocking. Could do with our own Solskjaer.

Wenger out!!

Manager has to accept the blame for this.

Two left backs on the pitch and nobody in the LB position for that 3rd goal.

Disgraceful performance

One of the very worst performances from Arsenal I have ever seen. The team were a disgrace to the shirt

Be fair, that shirt is a disgrace to the team.

I thought we started really well and looked likely to win it until the sending off. It fell apart immediately, but in that impressive atmosphere it was bound to be difficult. That Rennes lot are lively ! Definitely winnable in the second leg IMO. Auba worries me a little.

Yes he worries me too. I think his confidence is shot as you could tell when he missed the penalty against Spurs.

This is just my opinion, RR, but the best players tend to have that steel about them. Kane rarely misses. Lineker rarely missed. Henry rarely missed. Drogba. Van persie. Shearer. Van nistelrooy. All looked very robust majority of the time. Auba seems quite fragile and when he's not scoring he's not really much of a player, which is why I don't like him on the wings. I think I prefer Laca as a finisher and a general all-round footballer. I just hope Auba doesn't end up being someone The Club makes a big loss on.

Agree about Auba about not being much of a footballer, has the knack of being in the right place at the right time but apart from that in a football sense is quit poor .
Subtitutions didn't make sense last night and the game just shows how far away we are from really competing with the top teams again.
